This is hard for me to write this. It's June 17, 2024. It was a special weekend and Monday for me. I got to celebrate a lot of special events, Fathers Day, my wedding anniversary, my birthday June 17, and a big milestone for me and family. We are also celebrating our 60th year of being in business. Aldridge Motorsports & Engineering started on June 17, 1964.
I told myself and promised myself I would evaluate my work load and my health situation, so I am announcing that the last 60 years has taken a toll on my health and I have decided at this late stage of years, that it's my time to take all the stress off of my mind and body. Thank you to all of my customers and friends for a great 60 years of racing, building, fabricating, welding, machine work, flow bench testing, dyno testing, and pointing people in the right directions for their projects.
With that being said, I am announcing the closure of our service area, engine building services, and our engine shop. We will still have our parts department open for parts and access to our vast inventory of special Ford engines, Boss 302's, 289 HP, 428CJ's, 427's, Boss 429 and more. This also includes transmissions and 9" rearends. My service and informatiom to our customers and other shops for the last 60 years is over and now I can work on my own car collection and race projects (The Bonneville Project ). We will still be doing special car appraisals and consultations for a fee. All projects still at our shop will be finished in order when all parts become available.

We have held NHRA national records in B/FX class, B/dragster class.
AHRA world championship Pro/stock winner at AHRA world finals two consecutive years 78-79.
I was on Jack Roush’s engine program from 1972-1980 in NHRA Pro/stock and B/FX class.
Roush dealer since 1974 - 41 years.
Best engineered cars / Mazda RX7 and national record C/MC B/MC in 1977 winning 7 national events.
52 years in business
31 years being a Ford Racing dealer- we are in the back of the Ford Racing catalog.
Past crew chief for a Nascar and Grand National race team.
We did Nascar tire testing at Ontario Motor Speedway for Goodyear race tires with Richard Petty’s NASCAR Daytona winning Hemi Road Runner owned by Hershel McGriff.
I am on the classic car advisory board for NADA classic, collectible, exotic and muscle car appraisal guide and directory built engines for Allen Grant, one of the original Shelby team drivers for his personal collection, the #1 GT 40 prototype car and his Cobra.
I have my own personal collection of 18 Mustangs to include (4) 1969 Boss 429’s, (1) 1969 Boss 302, (2) 1967 Shelby Mustangs, etc.
I have owned 15 Boss 429’s, and 37 Boss 302’s. I have been a judge at the Portland Roadster show for 15 years and the Rod & Custom show for 10 years.
